Pricing
$29 a year per vault, in USD, plus sales tax where it applies, paid by card through Stripe. Members you invite cost nothing. One account can have up to five vaults, each paid for separately.
Your first vault can start with a 30-day free trial. No card is needed to start it.
Included
- Your own Vaultwarden instance at
https://NAME.libreyard.app. - Any number of members, with organisations and collections between them.
- 1 GB of storage, 100 MB during the free trial. A household's vault is usually a few megabytes; attachments and Sends are what fill it.
- The admin page and its token.
- Upgrades to new Vaultwarden releases.
- Regular encrypted backups, and a backup whenever you ask for one in the portal.
- Downloads of your data, as often as you like, including for 30 days after the subscription ends.
- Support by email. Response time: two business days.
Not included
- An uptime guarantee. If the server is down, the Bitwarden clients keep working from their offline copy, but cannot sync.
- Custom domains, and restoring a backup yourself. Both are planned.
- Email sent by your instance. Invitations work without it; some features do not.
- Push notifications to the mobile apps. They sync when opened.
- A choice of region, monthly billing, or shell access to the host.
Free trial
The trial vault is a real vault: the same server, the admin page, backups and downloads. Add a card in the portal before the 30 days are up to keep it. The first year is charged when the trial ends, and everything in the vault stays as it is. Without a card the vault stops when the trial ends. Its data is kept for 30 days, and you can download it or subscribe in that time. One trial per account. More on the trial.
Cancelling
You cancel in the portal. The vault keeps running until the end of the year you paid for, and you can undo the cancellation until then. After that the vault is stopped and its data kept for 30 days, so you can download it or subscribe again. Then it is deleted, and you get an email saying so.
You can also stop or delete a vault right away. Billing and cancelling has the details.
Failed payments
Stripe retries the card, and you get an email each time it fails. The vault keeps running until Stripe gives up. Then the 30 days above begin.
Refunds
A full refund on request within 30 days of a payment. The refund policy has the details.
